Ring hearth furnace systems

Ring hearth furnaces are used for carburizing, carbonitriding, case hardening with subsequent press hardening, normal hardening with subsequent quenching in oil or salt as well as tempering.

Ring hearth furnaces are produced in optimally matched sizes for each customer and - depending on the application - can be equipped with a wide variety of hearth structures, also for direct support of the components. Special slotted and single-removal doors allow operation with several tiers on top of each other. Depending on the component geometry and weight, these door designs allow cycle times of well under one minute. Furthermore, ring hearth furnaces have fewer mechanical drives like push-through systems and do not require batches to run empty. Mechanical wear when operating with charging racks is almost completely eliminated here. Depending on the component geometry, charging racks, tray supports or direct support can be used. In the case of direct support of the components, there is no heating of the charging racks or the tray at all, which significantly improves the energy balance.

Depending on the size, ring hearth furnaces are installed in our factory ready for connection, including refractory lining, and are dismantled and delivered after a test run of the rotary drives. Assembly and commissioning times can be kept to a very short period of time.
